When we say “Save the Star Store”, we are talking about more than saving a building, we are talking about fighting to save the community of the CVPA Star Store. We are fighting for the facilities we need to grow as artists. We are fighting for the facilities we were promised when we signed up to attend UMass Dartmouth. We are fighting for the New Bedford community that we are a part of, and want to maintain our prescience in. Our call for action goes beyond staying in the building; we are fighting for the students and community to get the recognition and respect they deserve.
